1493B: Litttle Fools Fall in Love

The script for 1493-B is a simplified version of 1493. It differs from 1493 in that more non-speaking parts are specified, and an additional character, the Royal Interpreter, is added. The longer dialogues are shortened or divided among several characters. There are more opportunities for direct reference to the local school or town so that the performance can be made more personal. The concert suggestions are more appropriate to younger performers.

Note 2: This script works well at the holiday season, but with its love theme, also is ideal for other times of the year, especially Valentine’s Day and the whole month of May (and most of April and some of June.)

Note 3: Suggestions for music for an alternate secular concert is included as is the dialogue introducing the various madrigals and chansons.
