Synopsis:

Begins with a greeting by the Jester, followed by the Royal Procession. All dialogue is supplied for the Wassail and Boar’s Head festivities. The Jester is the same lovable Jester of years past, always finding himself in the middle of revelry. But this year the Jester is trying to get people to take him more seriously . . . but to no avail.

Love is in the air as Mertonsire, the Lord of Misrule, finds the woman of his dreams. Mertonsire is a pompous, bombastic fop of a man who is always right in his own mind, even though he’s more often than not wrong in everybody else’s mind. While the rest of the Kingdom is reading the latest advice column, he feels the need for no advice from anyone. Until, of course, he falls in love the most beautiful, the most charming, the most — well, you get the idea!

Diaphane is the “idea” Mertonsire is trying to get. She shows up mysteriously, and sweeps Mertonsire right off his feet! (Is she in league with those other two strangers who also show up out of the blue? Is she truly a lost traveler, or does she know exactly where she’s going? You’ll have to buy this script to find out!) However, his dreams turn into a nightmare when he cannot gain her affection.

Should he turn to the Jester for help, should he write to the new advice column, or should he purchase lessons in love from the self-proclaimed “Duo of Woo,” a pair of swashbuckling rogues who’ve just arrived? (Rageous Phoolbane, a courtier of women, a fighter of great renown, and wanted in five other kingdoms for fraud, forgery, and generally being naughty. He is Errol Flynn, with a little bit of Bill Murray thrown in for good measure. The other half of the Duo is Randy O’Randy He might be a little more sensible than Rageous, but it’s not for lack of trying.

Who is this mysterious angel who’s captured Mertonsire’s heart? Who is her Lady in Waiting, and what is she waiting for? Mertonsire puts his hope and his gold in the hands of the two ‘Avengers of Amore’ and finds both to be misplaced. But there’s a happy ending, as all’s well that ends. Well?
